Our Dietitian’s Choice
"We love a filled jacket potato here in Torfaen where we leave the skin on for maximum fibre. Tuna is a popular choice and we are recommended to eat 2 portions of fish a week, one of which is an oily fish. Whilst tuna does not meet the threshold of Omega 3 for it to be classed as an oily fish, it is still a source of Omega 3 as well as Vitamin D and iron. Conscious of the heart health of our pupils, this nutritious filling is only ever mixed with reduced fat mayonnaise in our schools."
Sustainable School Meals
More Welsh Produce on Our Menus - Our jacket potatoes are Welsh produced, so supporting our local economy and jobs whilst reducing food miles.
