Our Dietitian’s Choice

"Fish is a high protein, low fat food, and a good source of vitamins and minerals. For this reason, we are recommended to eat 2 portions of fish every week. School lunches help our pupils to meet this target by including fish on every week’s menu. Our cod fish fingers are breaded, not battered, and, along with our herby diced potatoes are oven baked on site to limit fat and saturated fat intake. As always, our baked beans are of the reduced salt and sugar variety."

Sustainable School Meals

Sustainable Fishing - As part of our commitments to our environmental responsibilities, we only use fish fingers that are MSC certified, so allowing pupils to tuck in knowing that they are helping protect our oceans, livelihoods and fish stock of the future.

More Welsh Produce on Our Menus - Our bread is Welsh produced, so supporting our local economy and jobs whilst reducing food miles.
