Our Dietitian’s Choice
"We are always listening to our pupils. And they have informed us that they would like to be able to opt in/opt out for a vegetarian alternative on a day-by-day basis, whilst not necessarily signing up to a 100% vegetarian menu.
This sausage made with onion, leek, mature cheddar cheese and potato is a firm favourite with our pupils. Hidden veggies and a source of calcium, a great choice. Our herby diced potatoes are oven baked on site to limit fat and saturated fat intake. As always, our baked beans are of the reduced salt and sugar variety."
Sustainable School Meals
More Welsh Produce on Our Menus - Our bread is Welsh produced, so supporting our local economy and jobs whilst reducing food miles.
Reduced carbon emissions - All our menu choices have had their carbon intensities calculated by Edinburgh University. Choosing Glamorgan sausages instead of pork sausages lowers the carbon footprint of the meal by around 75%. A great choice for those looking to make small changes towards a more sustainable future!
