Ways to Pay Torfaen

You can pay your council tax, business rates, housing benefit overpayments and Council invoices online via the Internet using your debit or credit card. Please make Cheques or Postal Orders payable to Torfaen County Borough Council.

Please write your reference number on the back of the cheque and send to:

Please do not send cash through the post.

Automated Telephone Payments Service

You can pay your Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit Overpayments and Council invoices via Torfaen's Automated Telephone Payments Service using your debit card. You will hear recorded information and be prompted to enter your transaction details via the handset keys on your telephone.

The Telephone number is 0300 4560516 (calls are charged at local rate).

This service is available at all times. 

By Telephone to Call Torfaen

If you prefer to speak to a Customer Services Officer, you can telephone during the hours 8:30am - 5pm on 01495 762200. This facility is available to pay any monies due to the Authority by debit or credit card. 

By Direct Debit

You can pay your Council Tax account, Business Rates account or Sundry Debtor invoice by Direct Debit. You can register to pay by Direct Debit or speak to the Torfaen Customer Care Team on 01495 762200.
