Sensory rooms

We run seven sensory rooms for children and young people living in Torfaen with disabilities and additional learning needs.

The rooms must be booked in advance by parents, carers, or professionals and are not available for drop-in visits.

They are free to use but donations are welcome. To book, contact Torfaen Play Service at torfaenplay@torfaen.gov.uk

The sensory rooms are located at:

• Glenside Community Hall, Off Meadowbrook Avenue, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran
• Victory Church, Greenforge Way, Springvale, Cwmbran
• Mount Pleasant Hall, Mount Pleasant Road, Pontnewydd
• Glansychan Hall, Glansychan Lane, Abersychan
• Civic Centre Play, Civic Centre, Pontypool
• Thornhill Community Centre, Leadon Court, Thornhill, Cwmbran
• The Cockerel – Greenmeadow and St Dials Community Hall, Cwmbran

Adults with disabilities or additional learning needs may also be able to use the facilities with carers – please contact the play service to find out more.
