What is a noise to one person may be pleasurable to another. Excessive noise can reduce the quality of life and, in some extreme cases, even destroy it entirely. The Council are able to investigate complaints of noise nuisance and advise on methods of reducing noise at source and take legal action to secure noise abatement.
- From 12th July 2017 the 'Full Service' of Universal Credit will be rolled out within Torfaen and this means that if you are of working-age you will no longer be able to make a new claim for Housing Benefit for your housing costs. You will need to claim Universal Credit instead. However, there are some exceptions to this change.
