Road Works
The council is responsible for managing and coordinating all works programmes that affect the highway in Torfaen, whether the work is carried out by the council or a utility company.
The table below shows road closures and roadworks planned for the week ahead, including resurfacing of local roads as part of the council’s £6.4m Better Roads Brighter Communities investment.

08:00 to 11:30 roads closed include – A4043 Cwmavon Road at its junction with Prince Street and will include New William Street and Ton Mawr Street before proceeding south along the A4043 Cwmavon Road for approximately 6km before heading along the A4043 Station Street, on to Old Road, following the B4246 Limekiln Road, B4246 Freeholdland Road, B4246 George Street, along Mill Road, across Hospital Road, along Osborne Road (top end), Riverside and on to Park Road where the race will end at Pontypool Park.
