Adult Community Learning Open Day

Looking to start a career in health and social care or education? 

Torfaen Adult Community Learning is holding two open day events for anyone interested in taking courses in: 

  • Level 1 Health and Social Care
  • Level 2 and 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Level 2 and 3 Childcare, Play, Learning and Development.

The drop in sessions will be held on Thursday 6th July at Pontypool Community Education Centre, between 1pm and 4pm, and The Power Station, St Dials, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

There is a possibility that courses are fully funded, but this is subject to eligibility criteria.

Essential Skills courses are also available for learners who are looking to build their skills in English, Maths, and Digital Skills. 

Additionally, ESOL courses are also offered for those seeking to improve their English language skills.

Torfaen Council Executive Member for Economy, Skills & Regeneration, Councillor Joanne Gauden, said: “This is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to either start or further their education and career prospects.
