The Council’s service improvement planning (SIP) process allows clear links to be established between Corporate Plan priorities, Improvement Objectives, Service Improvement Plans, Team Plans and Individual Work Plans. It ensures every officer working for the Council is able to see how their actions contribute to the work of the organisation.
This approach is underpinned by a set of outcome focused tabular documents, which provide a uniform format to ensure a consistent approach across the organisation.
The SIP process is designed to encourage conversations throughout the organisation, so our available resources are used to maximise the impact our activities have on the well being of people living and working in Torfaen.
All service areas monitor their plans on a regular basis to update their progress.
Each year, the plans are formally reviewed to ensure they capture the activities that are planned for the financial year ahead.
