Climate Ambassadors Network

Torfaen’s Climate Ambassadors Network is a new forum for residents interested in supporting their communities to become net carbon zero by 2050. 

The group meets regularly to learn about local initiatives to cut carbon or nurture nature and to discuss how they can support communities to cut their carbon footprint. 

Recent meetings have included a presentation about changes to local infrastructure to encourage more people to walk or cycle for short journeys and how Torfaen Council is moving towards using more renewable energy. 

The ambassadors also discuss and share ideas and information on Torfaen Council’s community engagement hub Get Involved Torfaen.
