- In September 2014, the Welsh Government introduced the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 which places a legal requirement on local authorities in Wales to map, plan, improve and promote routes deemed suitable for active travel.
- We are working with schools to develop Active Travel School Plans. The plans set out how pupils and staff can be encourages to walk, cycle or scoot to school, rather than travel by car. Active Travel School Plans reduce congestion and pollution and encourage regular exercise.
