Three weeks of foodie fun

Get your maps and taste buds at the ready for the first ever Torfaen Food Trail.

Local businesses, farmers, and community groups will be holding a series of activities and events promoting local food producers and suppliers.

From Bangers & Burgers Bootcamps at Ty Poeth Farm to a Teddy Bears’ Picnic at The Cando Project there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Find out what’s on offer by picking up a Food Trailblazer Passport from Torfaen Libraries or participating venues.

Councillor Sue Morgan, Executive Member for Sustainability and Waste, said:  "This celebration is a brilliant way to connect with our communities, support local producers, and make good food accessible to all. I encourage everyone to get involved, have fun, and discover the amazing food culture we have here in Torfaen."

"I’d also like to thank the Food Resilience Team for all their hard work in pulling together this fantastic activity timetable — it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun.

“Events like this play an important role in supporting our Well-being Objectives by promoting healthier lifestyles to improve mental and physical well-being, and by celebrating our local culture and heritage to make Torfaen a thriving, safe, and attractive place to live and visit."

Holly Ivany, Llantarnam Arts Grange Café, said: "We are so proud and privileged to be a part of the Torfaen Food trail.

“We are excited to connect with our community, make memories, have some fun and show off all the wonderfully sustainable dishes that can be created with local ingredients.

“By working together we know we can make a different to our environment and our health"
