The Welsh Government Winter Fuel Scheme 2022/23 will close at the end February 2023.
The scheme allows eligible households to claim a one-off £200 cash payment to provide support towards paying fuel bills.
Residents who have not already applied are encouraged to submit their applications before 5pm on Tuesday 28 February 2023.
The scheme opened on 26 September 2022 and some households may have received the payment automatically, without submitting an application. The payments would have been paid into bank accounts between 27 September and 3 October 2022.
The payment is in addition to the UK Government £400 Energy Bill rebate and the Winter Fuel Payment normally paid to pensioners.
It will be one payment per household regardless of whether you have a pre-payment meter, pay by direct debit or receive quarterly bills and can be claimed whether you use on or off-grid fuel.
Torfaen Council will aim to make all payments within 30 days of receiving a valid application.
