It is unlikely that any of us will ever be caught in an emergency or disaster but they can happen anywhere at any time and when you are least expecting it.
Industrial accidents, severe weather, fires, transport accidents and many other emergencies can strike without warning and have the possibility of disrupting and threatening lives and the community.
