Young people have unveiled a colourful jigsaw to celebrate inclusion, identity and diversity in their communities.
Developed by the Torfaen Youth Alliance, the project brought together young people from nine groups, including Torfaen Youth Forum, the Gypsy Traveller Youth Forum and Cwmbran Centre for Young People.
They attended workshops with artist Elaine Moore to create 18 individual pieces which form part of the 3m by 1.5 m jigsaw.
The idea for the Diversity Jigsaw was developed by Torfaen Youth Alliance members, who wanted to explore issues of diversity and inclusion.
The jigsaw was put on display in Crowbridge Special School this week.
Phil Wilson, the council's Children and Young People's Participation Officer, said: "The Diversity Jigsaw demonstrates what can be achieved when young people work together and share their different experiences.
"Each piece is unique, but together they create a powerful representation of the communities we have in Torfaen."
The Youth Alliance also includes Crownbridge Special School, Youth Housing, Pontypool Community Council, the Pupil Referral Unit, Young Carers and TOGS, based in New Inn
The project included nine artist workshops, paid for by the council's Additional Learning Needs team.
The jigsaw was produced for free by Smurfit Westrock in Abercarn.
The Youth Alliance will meet again in September and decide on their focus for next academic year.
