People's Panel event

Would you like to find out more - and have your say - about the work the council does or is planning to do?

Then come along to our People's Panel meeting at Civic Centre, Pontypool, at 6pm on Tuesday 30 January.

It's the first time the event has been opened up to everyone, regardless of whether you have been a member of the People's Panel previously or one of our other citizen groups.

The agenda will include presentations on changes to voting procedures, a new approach to working with communities and the Replacement Local Development Plan.

Torfaen Council's Leader, Cllr Anthony Hunt, who will be at the meeting, said: "I'd encourage anyone who is passionate about their community to come along to the People's Panel meetings.

"It's a great opportunity to hear update about a range of key services directly from council officers."

The People's Panel is one of a number of ways residents can give their views about proposed service changes, new policies or ways of working.

There are eight citizen panels in Torfaen including the Torfaen Young People's Forum, three independent Over 50s groups in partnership with Age Connects Torfaen, and the Climate Ambassadors Network.

Find out about the different citizen panels by visiting Get Involved | Torfaen County Borough Council
