This Sunday marks the fourth annual Marie Curie Day of Reflection dedicated to those who died during the Covid pandemic.
The day of remembrance is an opportunity to show support to people who were bereaved during the pandemic but were unable to gather with family and friends.
Over the past three years, more than 850 organisations and millions of people have supported the Day of Reflection.
Council Leader Anthony Hunt said: "I welcome Marie Curie’s efforts to bring people together to support each other and remember loved ones who died during the pandemic.”
You can take part this year by:
- Joining the moment of reflection at 12 noon on Sunday 3rd March 2024
- Hosting a reflection activity for your staff or the people you serve.
- Sharing the name of the person or people you are remembering.
You can find out more about the Day of Reflection on the Marie Curie website.
The Marie Curie charity is the UK's largest funder of palliative and end of life care research.
