If you've ever fancied a career in social care, then sign up for Torfaen Council's first ever virtual social care recruitment day.

As well as all the latest jobs and training opportunities from the sector, you’ll get the chance to speak with the team and ask lots of questions on the day.

The Torfaen Cares event takes place on Tuesday 15 March and coincides with World Social Work Day – a day that highlights the successes of Social Work.

It will run from 4pm to 8pm and can be accessed via Facebook events page, just search Torfaen Cares.

It’s an opportunity to find out more about careers in care, whether that’s how shifts work, what qualifications are needed or what you do day to day.

In addition, a drop-in event will also take place on the day at Cwmbran Library, from 10am until 2pm, for anyone wanting a face-to-face discussion.

Social Care takes place in many forms, from front line domiciliary support workers to social workers, and there has never been a better time to join, with lots of career and progression routes available.

Torfaen Executive Member for Social Care and Housing, Councillor David Daniels said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone who has been thinking about a career in care, a change in career, or to get to know more about the sector as a whole.

“We’re looking for passionate people who are looking to make a positive difference to many children and adult lives across the borough.”

Register your interest for the day by visiting the Torfaen Cares Facebook event here.
