Residents aged 50 and over who have thought about starting their own business are being encouraged to take the first step through Entrepreneurship at 50, a new programme designed to help turn ideas into reality.
Delivered at Cwmbran Jobcentre from 12th August to 2nd September, the four-week programme offers practical support, guidance and encouragement for people looking to explore self-employment later in life. Participants will gain valuable knowledge in business planning, finance and marketing, while also receiving expert advice on networking and promoting themselves and their ideas.
The programme recognises the wealth of experience, skills and knowledge that older entrepreneurs can bring to a business venture. Whether participants have a fully developed business idea or are simply curious about self-employment, the sessions are designed to build confidence and provide the tools needed to move forward.
Supported by Torfaen Council, Jobcentre Plus and Business Wales, Entrepreneurship at 50 will run once a week between 10am and 12pm, offering a friendly and supportive environment where participants can learn from experts and connect with like-minded people.
