Discover Local Legends & Boost Your Skills – New History Sessions Launching in Torfaen

Torfaen Adult Community Learning is thrilled to welcome a new history tutor with a deep-rooted passion for Cwmbran and the wider Torfaen area. Having explored every corner of the community, our tutor brings a wealth of local knowledge and fascinating stories to share.

Starting early November, we’re launching two engaging sessions at The Power Station and Pontypool CEC, where learners will:

• Explore local myths and legends
• Debunk popular theories
• Share stories and perspectives
• Improve discussion, debating and literacy skills in a relaxed, informal setting

These sessions are perfect for anyone curious about local history and keen to build confidence in communication and English – all wrapped up in a lively, community-focused class.
