An alternative public right of way has opened for walkers which now removes the need to walk through the grounds of Ysgol Gymraeg Gwynllw Gwynllyw.
The new path, which replaces the previous route, has been diverted away from the school entrance further along Folly Road in Trevethin, and now runs north along the eastern boundary of the new YGG primary school, before joining a fenced off path at the top of the school site.
The change has been brought about to address safeguarding concerns of pupils at the school and to protect the interests of members of public using the route.
Walkers will be pleased to learn that the new path has less of a gradient and new planting has also been put in place.
