Torfaen Council's five scrutiny committees have decided the topics they will examine over the next year.
A review of cycling provision in the borough, the Council’s Litter and Fly-Tipping Strategy and access to Crownbridge Special Day School are among the issues to be scrutinised following suggestions from local residents.

The committees cannot make decisions on behalf of the Council but they can ensure that those that do so are making robust decisions in the right way and are fully appreciative of broader opinion.
