Description

The Aberfan disaster - a catastrophic landslide of colliery spoil in the village of Aberfan, South Wales, that on 21 October 1966, killed 144 people, 116 of them children, when it engulfed Pantglas Junior School and surrounding houses.

Gaynor Madgwick, a survivor of the Aberfan disaster, will speak on the story of the day that changed her community forever.
