50+ Forums

There are three independent 50+ Forums supported by Torfaen Council, in partnership with Age Connects Torfaen:  

• Blaenavon 50+ Forum 
• Pontypool Senior Active Support Forum 
• Cwmbran 50+ Forum 

The groups each meet monthly, in person, in their respective towns. Anybody aged 50 or over and living in the area is welcome to attend and become a member.  

By attending 50+ Forum meetings you will: 

• Find out about local news and information (including updates from Age Connects Torfaen, the Council and other Public Services) 
• Hear from guest speakers about interesting topics 
• Take part in consultations and have a chance to have a say on issues that will affect you 
• Meet new people 
• Have opportunities to go on occasional coach trips 

Meetings take place on Tuesday afternoons: 

• Blaenavon - 1st Tuesday of each month  
• Pontypool - 2nd Tuesday of each month 
• Cwmbran - 4th Tuesday of each month 

The forums meet for 11 months of each year and arrange a nice Christmas meal in December!
