All business premises must separate recycling before collection:
- Food waste (premises producing more than 5kg of food waste a week)
- Paper and card
- Glass
- Metals cans
- Plastic bottles
- Cartons and other similar packaging
- Unsold small electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
- Unsold textiles
Businesses have a legal duty to dispose of waste and recycling using a registered waste carrier.

The regulations will be enforced by Natural Resources Wales and occupiers could face fines of up to £300 for each offence.
