Torfaen business recycling

All business premises must separate recycling before collection:

  • Food waste (premises producing more than 5kg of food waste a week)
  • Paper and card
  • Glass
  • Metals cans
  • Plastic bottles
  • Cartons and other similar packaging
  • Unsold small electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
  • Unsold textiles

Businesses have a legal duty to dispose of waste and recycling using a registered waste carrier.

The occupiers of a property are responsible for complying with the Welsh Government’s Workplace Recycling Regulations.

The regulations will be enforced by Natural Resources Wales and occupiers could face fines of up to £300 for each offence.
