Infectious Clinical Waste in a domestic setting is:
- dressings or bandages contaminated with blood
- needles, syringes or other sharps
- diabetic sharps waste
- dialysis waste
Residents are reminded that because of the risk of needle stick injuries, sharps bins should not be disposed of via the normal household refuse collection.
