HMRC invites self-employed to get ready to make their claims
This week, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will start contacting around three and a half million customers who may be eligible for the government's Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) to explain the application process and help them get ready to make a claim.

From Monday 4 May, collections of green waste will restart in Torfaen.

There will be no waste and recycling collections in Torfaen on both the Bank Holidays (8th May and 25th May) and all collections on each week will take place a day later than scheduled.

Last weekend we witnessed exceptional rainfall to Torfaen and the rest of Wales. Across the region rivers reached dangerously high levels and caused extensive damage. We had spent the week ahead of the storm checking and clearing culvert entrances and gulley's to ensure they were running clear and free.
