Gareth Beer is the Head of Economy and Place and has responsibility for:

- Planning (development control and planning policy)
- Property maintenance and construction
- Regeneration
- Strategic economic development and external funding
Daniel Morelli is Head of Public Protection and has responsibility for:
- Food health and safety
- Trading Standards
- Housing, pollution enforcement and statutory nuisance e.g. noise
- Licensing
- Weights and measures
- Environment
Huw Roberts is the Statutory Chief Planning Officer.
