Litter picking hubs

We work with Keep Wales Tidy to support community litter picking hubs and support businesses and organisations to set up Litter Free Zones.

Litter picking groups or individual volunteers can borrow free equipment, including litter pickers, hoops, bags and high vis vests, from the following locations:

  • Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary School, Blaenavon
  • Circulate Furniture Recycling, Blaenavon
  • Costar Partnership, Greenmeadow
  • Cwmbran Community Council, Ventnor Road, Cwmbran
  • Garnsychan Partnership, Abersychan
  • Llandegfedd Lake Visitor & Activity Centre
  • Pontypool Market, Pontypool
  • The Boat House Café, Cwmbran Boating Lake
  • Thornhill Community Centre, Cwmbran
  • Zero Waste Torfaen, Southville

Report your community litter pick to arrange for rubbish bags to be collected.

It is helpful if you can collect items that can be recycled separately from general rubbish.

To suggest other litter picking hub locations, contact our litter and fly-tipping prevention officer Oliver James on oliver.james@torfaen.gov.uk

Litter Free Zones

We work with Keep Wales Tidy to help businesses and organisations become Litter Free Zones.

Setting up a Litter Free Zone is great for your local community, nature and wildlife.

It can also improve the look of your premises; show your customers and neighbours you are a responsible organisation and help bring staff and teams together.
