Play areas

We maintain 47 children’s play areas, multi-use games areas and skate parks across the borough. 

There are a total of 69 play areas in Torfaen.

Council-maintained parks are shown on the map in pink, Bron Afon-maintained parks are purple, green and orange indicate private or community council-managed.  

All parks are wheelchair accessible, inclusive equipment is available at the following play areas: 

• Pontypool Park 
• Cwmbran Boating Lake 
• Brooklands Field Park 
• Pontnewynydd Park 

Inspections are carried out regularly, and equipment and fences maintained to meet safety standards.  

Please note dogs, including those on leads, are not allowed in any play areas.
