Community Review

Every 10 years, community council community boundaries and electoral arrangements must be reviewed.

There are six community councils in Torfaen, covering Blaenavon, Croesyceiliog and Llanyrafon, Cwmbran, Henllys, Ponthir and Pontypool.

In June 2023, a public consultation was carried out and the results were considered by the council’s Task and Finish group, which has made several recommendations.

The results will be considered by the Task and Finish group, which will then draft final recommendations. These will then need to be approved by Full Council.
