Active Travel Routes & Schemes

The Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 sets out to encourage more people in Wales to walk and cycle more often for shorter every day journeys. Part of that remit includes building new walking and cycling routes, many of which are being funded by Welsh Government.

The desire is to improve the infrastructure across the nation with a particular emphasis on walking and cycling as a mode of transport, connecting where people live with their destination.

There is a substantial overlap between active travel walking & cycling routes and SRiC.
