Edition 1 (March 2022) of a newsletter series featuring updates about the work taking place at ‘The British’ site, Talywain, is now available.
The site is one of Torfaen council’s major regeneration projects.
The newsletters are being produced by Torfaen council’s Regeneration project team.
This March 2022 edition includes a ‘Welcome’ from Councillor Joanne Gauden, Executive Member for Economy, Skills & Regeneration, Torfaen council. It also shares news on the progress achieved around the initial, essential work addressing the challenges and hazards at the site (known as first phase works*).
*This first phase has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
This March edition also includes information about our partnership working with Gwent Wildlife Trust which aims to progress community engagement and provide opportunities for local people to get involved with the site.
