Shining a light on Baby Loss Awareness Week

Three key council buildings will be illuminated in pink and blue this week in honour of parents and families in Torfaen who have lost a baby in pregnancy or infancy this week.  

Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall, the boathouse at Cwmbran Boating Lake, and the Civic Centre in Pontypool, with be lit between 6pm-10pm daily as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week.   

Councillor Anthony Hunt, Leader of the council, said: “Baby loss is a tragedy which affects many families in Torfaen and around the UK, which is why we are showing our support of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

“By showing our support we hope anyone affected by baby loss will seek out the help and support they are entitled to.”
