Next week WeCare Wales will be shining a light on what it’s like to work in the social care, children’s and early years sectors.
The Covid-19 pandemic has rapidly increased demand for social care services and new staff are needed to support citizens right across Gwent.
Throughout WeCare Wales week there will be a number of virtual events to support job seekers interested in a career in care, with the opportunity to link up with local employers and job vacancies near you.
Torfaen Council Chief Officer for Social Care and Housing, Keith Rutherford, said: Our social care workforce continues to provide remarkable standards of care in the community.
However, with demand increasing we need more people to join the sector than ever before. If you’re interested in making a positive difference to people in your community then we want to hear from you. Get involved with the WeCare Wales week and become the lifeline your community needs.”
