We’re committed to making Torfaen a better place to live and work and delivering on services that matter the most to you.
It’s been two years since we last asked residents about their experiences and expectations of Torfaen Council.
Since then, then the COVID-19 pandemic changed everyone’s lives and put a significant strain on council services and budgets. During this time, our focus has been to keep essential services like rubbish and waste collections, social care services and maintaining highways going, and support those most in need.
Now, as life returns to some normality, we’d like to know what you think about these vital services and our corporate priorities.
As well as providing hundreds of vital services for residents, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our priorities are for a cleaner and greener borough, for all children to have the best chance of a good education, and that vulnerable people are supported.
In 2019, 50 per cent of respondents thought Torfaen Council provided high quality services, 42 per cent said their areas were well-maintained and 47 per cent thought children received a good education in Torfaen.
