Stretchy plastic collections to resume

After a fire suspended collection of stretchy plastic in borough, Capital Valley Plastics are pleased to inform Torfaen residents that they are now in the position to restart collections.

The council has been working in partnership with Capital Valley Plastics since 2019 to recycle items like plastic bags, bubble wrap and food wrappers which would otherwise go to landfill.

Stretchy plastic can be taken to the following locations for recycling:

  • CVP Kays and Kears site bank (moved to the first building)
  • Torfaen council offices bank
  • CVP Cwmavon road Bank
  • Bryn Onnen Primary School bank
  • Canine corner Croesyceiliog
  • Able radio
  • Market Village Cwmbran town centre
  • Talywain Post office
  • Blaenavon RFC
  • Zero Waste Torfaen
  • My local convenience stores - Edlogan Square
  • The Costar Partnership
  • Torfaen Household Waste Recycling Centre
  • The Salvation Army Wesley Street
