Council wants views on Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

The council’s Education Overview and Scrutiny Committee are meeting at 10am on the 9th of June to consider a report on how the council is preparing for changes to the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Act.

The council has a responsibility to ensure that the new requirements of the Act and Code are in place to support learners up to the age of 25, and that they work effectively with other agencies such as Health and Social Care to deliver improved outcomes for children and young people.

Should you have any views or comments on this matter, the committee have asked if you could send them to by Monday 7th June, to help their discussions.
