On Monday 7 September (weather permitting), Torfaen Council has instructed Complete Weed Control (South & Central Wales) Ltd. to start the second round of spot treating weeds on public footways and car parks on Council and Bron Afon Community Housing land, in accordance with methodologies approved by the EU, Welsh Government and Torfaen County Borough Council,
The weed killer is used only by trained professionals in a diluted form which is safe to use without the need for gloves and face protection, although as a precaution, operatives do wear gloves to dilute the concentrated product.
As this work is being undertaken for and on behalf of the Council and Bron Afon, residents are asked to contact the Council if they have any comments or concerns, rather than speak to the contractors operatives direct, who are acting in accordance with their instructions.
