Torfaen Council wants your suggestions on the burning issues, you feel, require scrutiny from councillors on the council’s five Overview and Scrutiny committees.
The committees hold annual workshops to help councillors select the areas that require deeper analysis in the year ahead.
The five committees are titled:
- Cleaner Communities
- Healthier Communities
- Children and Young People
- Prosperous Communities
- Cross Cutting and Resources Business
The workshops will take place on the 9th and 10th of December and councillors are keen to hear your views on the issues you feel require closer scrutiny. Suggested items should be an issue of real public concern that affects a group of people either living or working in Torfaen. In the past year members have scrutinised issues such as the Regional Homelessness Strategy, Recycling & Waste – Modernising our Service and Scoping a new Economy & Skills Strategy.
Following each workshop, the items selected will be publicised on the Overview & Scrutiny page here.
You can also suggest an item you feel would benefit from further investigation at any time through the year.
