Torfaen Council are looking to speak to residents who have recently requested or have been referred to support from the occupational therapy team. This could be either for themselves or on behalf of someone else.
The council are working with Blaenau Gwent and Neath Port Talbot council with support by the newly established Centre for Digital Public Services to understand the barriers and issues accessing occupational therapy services. The Centre for Digital Public Services has been set up by the Welsh Government to support the digital innovation in Welsh public services.
The work will aim to improve the occupational therapy service by making processes easier and more accessible, improving the flow of communication and the awareness of support services. The project is seeking resident or service user feedback to solve these issues and to test the potential solutions to see which work best.
If you have a spare hour, contact Anna Fraser at anna.fraser@socialfinance.org.uk in the research team who will make arrangements to undertake the work at your convenience before the 4th of December. All public volunteers will receive a £25 high street voucher.
