The Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) at Panteg Way, New Inn will re-open on Monday 9th November with new winter opening hours. The new opening hours will be Monday to Sunday 10am – 4pm.
The council would like to remind residents that visits should only take place if classed as essential. If we can’t collect the waste (you are bringing to the site) using the normal household waste kerbside collection scheme, or you can’t store it safely at home, then a visit to the HWRC may be required.
Residents will need to book a time slot at the HWRC. If you haven’t booked a slot you won’t be allowed into the site. We want to make sure that everyone who needs to visit the site can do so, and this will only happen if everyone follows the rules.
Councillor Mandy Owen, executive member for the environment, said: “We are so pleased that the HWRC can reopen on Monday because it helps a lot of residents manage their waste responsibly.
“The site has been working well with the booking system in place, and we’ve made a few changes to the booking form over the last few weeks after resident feedback. We are limited to the changes we can make to the booking form but with the alterations we’ve made the process should be easier.”
The quickest and easiest way to book a slot at the HWRC (with no queueing) is to use our online booking form. Residents who don’t have access to a computer, or the internet, can phone 01495 762200 to book a slot.
