On Monday 18 May, the council’s full grass cutting service around the borough will resume as staffing levels begin to return to normal.
Since the pandemic began, grass cutting operated at a reduced level, and only took place to ensure safety and road visibility. However, we are now in a position to restart the service in full.
Councillor Mandy Owen, executive member for the environment, said: “We would like to thank residents for their patience. We know that many services have been altered or stopped during the pandemic, but we are working hard to get them up and running again whilst adhering to government guidelines.
“The first grass cut of the borough will take longer than usual because as you may have noticed, some areas have grown considerably.
“We hope that residents will welcome this news, and that more services will resume over the coming months.”
