Pontypool Indoor Market was thrilled to reopen its doors earlier in the month to welcome customers back.
With a wide range of services on offer, Pontypool Indoor Market has something for everyone. Tasty baked treats, dinner time snacks, flowers for all occasions, fruit and veg, personalised gifts, retro antiques and much more!
Earlier in the month, Gareth Lane, owner of Haggles, joined traders in Pontypool Indoor Market.
Haggles sells designer handbags, jewellery, watches, women’s and children’s clothing all at discount prices. Currently in stock is Hugo Boss, Timberland, Ted Baker, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and many more. High Street brands also available from River Island and Very.
Gareth Lane, business owner of Haggles, said: “Being from Cwmbran I’ve always known about Pontypool Indoor Market, so when looking for accommodation to trial my business I thought why not give it a go. My business has already got an online presence, but I really want to give a physical shop a try. The indoor market is in a good location and I’ve taken advantage of the Test Trade opportunity that Pontypool Indoor Market offers to new traders, which gives me a discounted rent for the first six months. This will enable me to grow my business and customer base in the market”.
“I would recommend anyone who is considering opening up a business to take a look at Pontypool Indoor Market when looking around. Completing the application form was easy, and everyone from the council has been very supporting, helpful and friendly. I’m really looking forward to establishing the Haggles name and building our customer base.”
Councillor Joanne Gauden, executive member for economy, skills and regeneration, said: “It’s wonderful welcoming new traders to Pontypool Indoor Market. New traders bring a new customer base, and this is not only great for the indoor market but Pontypool town centre as well.
“We wish Haggles the best of luck, and encourage residents to visit them in the indoor market to show their support. It’s tough starting a new business, and Haggles has had the additional challenges of starting up during Covid-19, so let’s shop local to keep them and all the indoor market businesses trading.”
