During this difficult time and as rapid changes are being introduced we would like to give you priority booking on our new ninety minute webinar to be delivered via Zoom.

The webinar will consider will consider the pandemic in the context of poor housing and homelessness, and identify the legislative changes in the Coronavirus Act 2020.  It will also outline the guidance issued to tenants, landlords and local authorities and consider related issues, including:

  • Coronavirus Act 2020
  • Government guidance for tenants
  • Government guidance for landlords
  • Government guidance for local authorities
  • The homelessness response
  • Legal Aid and other issues.

After attending, you will be able to:

  • Apply the new law concerning Notices
  • Understand the provisions for possession proceedings
  • Identify when and to whom the guidance applies

This webinar is suitable for housing advisors, homelessness and housing staff, from the statutory, social housing and voluntary sectors. It is an opportunity to ask our expert trainer Tony Martin questions and share practice issues.

This webinar will be delivered using Zoom. This platform does not require Adobe Flash or for you to dial in. Zoom uses your computer's audio or you can select one of the phone numbers provided which will enable you to follow the webinar via phone.

How to request a place

We will soon be moving all Shelter Training bookings to a new platform, AccessplanIT. The bookings for this webinar will be taken through the AccessplanIT learner portal.

Unless you have attended NHAS webinars or training booked through the AccessplanIT portal you will need to request a login. To do this please send an email titled ‘training portal login request’ stating your full name, department/team, organisation name and full (usual office) address including postcode to training@shelter.org.uk

Once you have a login you can find the webinar by entering COVID in the ‘keyword’ search box, pick the appropriate date and time and request your place.
