Adult learners celebrate GCSE success

Adult Learners across Torfaen are celebrating following fantastic results in their GCSE exams and a successful year of learning with Torfaen Adult Community Learning.

This year 76% of GCSE English and 80% of GCSE Math’s learners achieved A* - C passes.

Executive Member for Economy, Skills & Regeneration, Cllr Richard Clark said, ”Learners and tutors have worked extremely hard to achieve these excellent results. Our high standards of teaching are supported effectively by dedicated support staff so that learners at all levels and ages can achieve their potential.”

New GCSE English and Maths courses will start in September 2019.

Not quite GCSE ready? Torfaen Adult Community Learning are now offering Prepare for GCSE English and Prepare for GCSE Maths for free to those learners who are considering GCSE maths or English in the future, but right now lack the confidence.

Torfaen Adult Community Learning also have a wide range of other courses available for residents considering a career change, furthering their education or simply learning something new.
