It's My Shout

Now in its 14th year, It’s My Shout Productions Ltd specialises in producing short films for television and screen. Every year we produce short films for a wide variety of partners from BBC Cymru Wales, S4C, UK Film Council and the Arts Council of Wales, to name a few.

It’s My Shout provide hands on training for young people, alongside industry professionals. The main ethos of It’s My Shout is to engage young people in a creative activity that can inspire and grow confidence, as well as providing them with both hard skills (e.g. camera, sound, locations, runners, production assistants, animation, composing, acting, chaperoning, editing, hair & makeup, costume, set design, 2nd AD, 3rd AD) and soft skills which can be transferable in every aspect of their lives.

IMS’s largest production training scheme is shot over the summer with many communities all across Wales. For Series 7 in 2015 we will produce 9 short films building on the summer training scheme in 2014, for which nearly one thousand young people from across Wales took part. Six of the films are broadcast on BBC Cymru Wales, alongside a 30 minute ‘behind-the-scenes’ documentary, and three Welsh-language films are broadcast on S4C.
