All the children photographed have had 100% attendance since September!

7 February 2018 - Cwmbran High strive for 95+

Year 7 pupils at Cwmbran High School are getting behind the Strive for 95+ campaign.

Since September over 25% of Year 7 pupils have achieved 100% attendance and 73.4% of year 7 pupils have over 95% attendance.

2 February 2018 - Woodland Primary Striving for 95+

Woodland pupils are Striving for 95+ and these pupils have had 100% attendance since September. The whole school attendance for the Autumn Term was 95.17%.

1 February 2018 - Pupils from Garnteg Primary are Striving for 95 plus!

Bradley and Alexis are all smiles after winning the attendance award trophy for KS2 in class 6 this week.

Also pictured is Mya with her trophy. Mya from class 6 in year 3 who has not missed a single day in school since September.

The foundation phase teddy award for attendance was celebrated by class 3 pupils Lowry, Kurt, Livi-Mai and Joe.

24 January 2018 - Our Lady of the Angels RC Primary Strive for 95!

Congratulations to the year 6 pupils from Our Lady of the Angels RC primary who had 100% attendance last week and thank you to the pupils introducing Strive for 95 to the rest of the school!

We've received December's attendance data and there are:

  • 14 schools with an attendance rate of 95% or higher for last month
  • 13 schools with an attendance rate of 95% or higher for last 2 months
  • 10 schools meeting/exceeding their attendance target

And the 6 schools that have made most progress on attendance on the same period last year are:

  • Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary - 1.5%
  • Abersychan Comprehensive - 0.9%
  • Victoria Primary - 0.6%
  • Padre Pio RC Primary - 0.5%
  • Cwmbrân High - 0.5%
  • St. Alban’s RC High - 0.5%

4th December 2017 - Victoria Primary Strive for 95!

The children at Victoria Primary School had another great week last week with the whole school achieving over 95% attendance.

Last week class 4 achieved 97.59% - Miss Ally is pictured with Ethan Seabourne and Tayla Rees.

Class 6 achieved a whopping 100% attendance last week! Miss Grimas is pictured with Kayleigh Rudge and Andrew Morgan.

27 November 2017 - Garnteg Primary Strive for 95!

This week Garnteg Primary School are sharing their pupils excellent attendance with us.

The school holds assemblies every week where the class with the highest attendance gets announced and receives their award.

The winner in the foundation phase last week was Miss Lewis who achieved a whopping 99.64% attendance.

At key stage 2, the winner was Miss Jones with 99.20%.
