Restoration Responsibility and Reintegration
The Youth Offending Team’s approach to working with young people is based on the 3 R’s. What does this mean?

- Responsibility – Helping young people to understand and accept responsibility for the harm they have caused
- Restoration - Repairing the harm caused by offending or anti-social behaviour. This might include apologising to those affected either in writing or face to face and completing reparation (unpaid work) either directly to the victim or to the wider community
- Reintegration – Supporting the young person to become a positive member of the community by attending school, training or employment; joining local sports clubs and activities
