Whilst the Council’s allotments remain accessible, before entering the site we would ask you to consider if your visit is really necessary. If the answer is yes, then please observe Government advice around keeping your distance from others (two metres) where practical and treating any publicly accessible surfaces as potential sources of infection. Further information is available on the Allotments area of the website.

Funding available for grassroots sports clubs impacted by Covid-19
Sport Wales has just launched a £4m ‘Be Active Wales Fund’, made possible thanks to Welsh Government and repurposed money from the National Lottery.
Grassroots sports clubs in Torfaen are encouraged to apply for the new fund to help them survive the Covid-19 pandemic and prepare to restart activities safely.

Greenmeadow Community Farm
Greenmeadow Community Farm is closed until further notice. We will of course ensure that the animals are safe and well throughout the closure.
All council-owned playgrounds are now open.
Public Rights of Way
Our Public Rights of Way network remains open, but this may change if areas are identified where groups of people are congregating and actively ignoring measures set out by the Government.
We’re asking everyone to stick to social distancing and use their local routes, rather then travel to the countryside unnecessarily.
All path closure notices will be published online and notices posted on site under The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Closure of Leisure Businesses, Footpaths and Access Land) (Wales) Regulations 2020.
Sports Development activities are running in according with Welsh Government and National Governing Body Regulations. For more information please contact the Sports Development team on 01633 628936.
