If the answer is yes, then please observe Government advice around keeping your distance from others (two metres) where practical and treating any publicly accessible surfaces as potential sources of infection. Sadly, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and uncertainty around planning future dates in 2020, Torfaen Sports Development has taken the decision to cancel the Mic Morris Torfaen 10k which was due to take place on 12th July 2020. Play grounds

Torfaen council have decided to close all council play facilities in play grounds to residents from today.

The aim is to reduce public gatherings and unnecessary travel in order to stop the rapid spread of coronavirus overloading the NHS.

Bron Afon Community Housing have also shut all eleven of their children’s play parks.

Public Rights of Way

Our Public Rights of Way network remains open, but this may change if areas are identified where groups of people are congregating and actively ignoring measures set out by the Government.

All path closure notices will be published online and notices posted on site under The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Closure of Leisure Businesses, Footpaths and Access Land) (Wales) Regulations 2020.

Sports Development

All sessions led by Torfaen Sports Development have been postponed until further notice. This includes campaigns #IFYOUGOIGO and the recently announced Torfaen ‘Better Man’.
